WHY

Accidentally Annie Street Space is a Brisbane based Artist lead initiative running a program of curated exhibitions featuring the work of both emerging and established artists chosen for their experimental and critical engagement with contemporary art discourses.

The main aims of the project were;

1. To present a program of critically engaged contemporary art that demonstrates the vitality of Brisbane’s artistic production outside of commercially orientated or institutional spaces.

2. To Provide artists with a space which encourages the exploration of experimental, ephemeral or otherwise non-traditional artistic concepts.

3. To engender creative dialogue between artists, curators and art writers. As well as extending opportunity for a forum between these stakeholders, the audience and the wider public.
