HOW
Designed by Deborah Fenwick and Deborah Long, this label captured the spirit of the times. Styled for the club going, fashion conscious, dance scene and alternate music lovers, it quickly came to represent the 1980’s zeitgeist.

Designers, artists and photographers including; Deborah Fenwick, Deborah Long, Ian Golding, Joanna Greenwood, Jane Walker, Marie Platt, Catherine London, David Rousell, Scott Austin, Donald Holt, Scott Clifford, Debra Brinkworth, Patricia Neil, Peter and Nevanka Brown.

WHERE
Brisbane based with studio in Queens Arcade, and later in Empire House on Queen Street, Brisbane. Sold nationally.
WHY
Initially 2d design was born out of need, two designers seeking to satisfy a niche in clothing that was both well made, interesting design with a sense of style inspired by street fashion from New York, London and Tokyo. Quickly, a local following extended interstate and the label became synonymous with edgy details, interesting textiles that appealed to fashionable young women and men.
