Queensland Artworkers Alliance (QAA) | 1986 – 2011 [Previously the Artworkers Union Qld 1981-1986] – Memory Post in Progress
Building out from the Artworkers Union Qld at a public meeting held at the Brisbane Community Art Centre [now Metro Arts] in Edward Street in 1986 the membership based arts advocacy and lobby group the Queensland Artworkers Alliance [QAA] was constituted. For almost three decades the QAA as it was fondly known provided essential services for artists, art workers and creatives in SE Qld, Regional Queensland, the Northern Rivers and nation-wide.
