Mark Webb

Born in Melbourne in 1957, Mark Webb studied in Melbourne and Brisbane. His first solo exhibition was staged at That Contemporary Art Space in 1985. He was represented in A Monochrome Set group exhibition at That Space in 1986. This exhibition was co-curated by artist’s Diena Georgetti and Belinda Gunn. Mark and many artists who exhibited at That Space, The Observatory and John Mills National artist run spaces in operation in Brisbane in the 1980s were selected for representation by commercial galleries including the then emergent Bellas Gallery founded by Peter Bellas in 1986.
