The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the arts industry into hibernation. Our movements have been restricted and our spaces have been closed. House Conspiracy: PROVISIONAL is a residency programme to support artists’ continued practice, experimentation and sharing in the wake of physical distancing measures. A different experience, one of the time and space we find ourselves in now: separately, but not alone.
Each short-term residency will give artists the opportunity to work in a private studio where you can experiment, develop and create new work without breaking social distancing mandates. If awarded a short-term residency, artists will receive:
24/7 access to House Conspiracy for three weeks
Private and shared studio space*
Online studio crits with a collaborative network of cross-disciplinary practitioners
Assistance in documentation of their work and processes
Online exhibition at the end of the residency
Become part of House Conspiracy’s archive and alumni group
*Access to shared space is to be negotiated with private studio renters to ensure physical distancing is maintained. It is worth noting that House Conspiracy is not facilitating a live-in residency program, although it is allowing 24/7 access to the space for each curated artist. House Conspiracy has a basic kitchen and bathroom available for use by resident artists. If you have any questions or queries, please contact us at house@houseconspiracy.org
Applications are due at 11.59pm on Sunday 17th May, 2020, and residencies will commence in June 2020.
