https://ariremix.com.au – ARI REMIX PRESENTS “SELF-MADE, ARTIST-RUN” Queensland/ Australian Artist-Run Heritage 1970 to NOW – An ARI Zine Anthology (1 May 2022 – 1 May 2023)
Hello ARI Remix fans and supporters ! We are thrilled and delighted to let you know we have secured arts investment from Arts Queensland to help make the next phase of the ARI Remix Project in the form of a 12-month project;
ARI REMIX PRESENTS “SELF-MADE, ARTIST-RUN” a new zine-based archival art initiative “The EXTRA ZINE Project” | Ten Artists, Ten Zines [2022-2023].
EXTRA Zine aims to significantly expand the ARI REMIX COMMUNITY ARCHIVES PROJECT [2011-2021] which maps the untold stories, hidden histories and ‘at risk’ art ephemera of Queensland/Australian artist-run culture by drawing on the foundations of the 1970s experimental art ecology.
This May we have a modest zine stall alongside other paper creatives at the Brisbane Writer’s Festival 2022 to be held on Saturday May 7 between 2-5pm. We will be showcasing some of the ARI Remix zines we have made at this event. There will be a small range of these zines for sale too 🙂 See you there.

Exploring Zine Practice Together – re-imagining art zines as a type of community archive…
Over the next 12 months as this new project unfolds we will be adding the ten new zines made by ten artists drawing from both their personal archives and diverse experiences in Queensland/ Australian artist-run communities [1970 to Now] on both remix.org.au – the ongoing and expanding internet artwork as community archive – and here at the related EXTRA Zine link(s) below:
