IN | artist run initiative is a new multi-disciplinary arts collective and not-for-profit association based out of The Old Lock-Up, Maroochydore. IN | is a place for artists to explore experimental, collaborative, diverse approaches to making art, sharing art, and talking about art. We’re about new ideas, new conversations, new forms

IN | artist run initiative is founded by June Sartracom, Ruby Donohoe, and Sharna Barker.
WHEN
IN | artist run initiative was founded by co-directors Sharna Barker, Ruby Donohoe and June Sartracom, in 2021 and was later joined by Amanda Bennetts in 2022.

The collective offers project space x time for collaborations, mentoring, feedback, peer-critique, and a place to ‘talk shop’. IN | is a collective with more questions than answers- premise pushing through curiosity and driven by the Sunshine Coast’s increasing appetite for rigorous, agile contemporary arts dialogue.
IN | artist run initiative acknowledges the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi people as Traditional Owners of the lands on which the space stands. We pay our deep respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
