Hello. I am delighted to let you know that, yes, we are indeed now working on the third and final polyvocal stage of the three stage ARI Remix Living Archives & Social Memory Project [Project One 2011-2021].
With current and ongoing Covid related challenges and restrictions, the next four artists’ contributions deadlines for written posts with digital images have been changed slightly fyi, i.e. this for both new “planned” and curated [12 artists who have kindly expressed interest – thanks again:) ] and for new “unplanned” voluntary contributions are here for your diary:

At a glance:
We keep blog posts simple, easy to read, easy to discover and access – and fyi – the KISS Principle, keep it simple sweetheart:
- A personal reflection 300 – 1500 words about Brisbane Meeanjin and regional Queensland artist-run culture – 1970s,1980s, 1990s, 2000s
- Up to twelve captioned digital images of artists’ ephemera – all digital images need to be 1200 pixels with detailed captions including title, artist(s), date, place, name of artist collection [provenance] and contextual information up to 50 words thanks
- Include your head shot if possible 🙂
- Include any useful url links ; pdfs, vimeo, you tube, socials etc.

Thanks again to everyone who have so generously participated so far, we have lost count but it’s an overwhelming response with over 300 Australian artists.
We are all feeling truly grateful that this remembering ARIs together project has helped place digitised ‘at risk’ artists’ ephemera and cultural storytelling about artist-run culture and heritage on the public record. We feel thrilled and truly privileged to be a part of the growing open source community movement and contributing in a small but important way to the expanded interest in arts-based community archives, DIY archives and Queer archives.
