ARI Remix Newsletter | (Re) Presenting | Ten Year Anniversary Issue #3 | Winter 2021
Hello. Happy Winter 2021
We at ARI Remix collective hope all is as well as can be as this third issue of our Ten Year Anniversary newsletter series ker-plonks into your desktop. We are thrilled to bits to be celebrating ten years of collaborative memory work this year.
For many artists this shared Covid experience has been a good time for adding personal stories to this ongoing archival art initiative. Sifting through analogue digital archives and relocating hidden artists’ ephemera from a rich history of artist-run culture in South East Queensland, regional Queensland and into fabulous urban and regional precincts beyond.
Accessing, re-activating, re-presenting and re-situating personal archives including photo proof sheets, newsletters, exhibition documentation, photos, super 8 films, audio interviews and hand made artists’ ephemera is an important aspect of the ongoing memory work we perform.
We thought we’d share a few key ARI news items and links, personal reflections and memory highlights this month from current ARI activities. We have added in a selection of recent and past examples too.
NB: (Re) Presenting 2021 | Artist Memory Blog Posts Deadline: A quick reminder that the next deadline for artists’ memory blog posts with digitised copies of artists’ ephemera is Monday August 30 2021. Access the nitty gritty info in the post below.
Best wishes for the season, see you again late in Spring 2021. Take care, stay safe, go well…
