WHY

WAYOUT Artspace is housed in the original community hall of Kandos, a 20th-century worker’s hall that has at different times served as a movie theatre, a gym, and a motorcycle museum. It is now a multi-use art and culture space, where contemporary art is created that is relevant to our regional context.

In 2022 we have run a full programme with 8 group and solo exhibitions, showcasing more than 30 regional and internationally connected artists, and our gallery space is booked out until May 2024. In our 4th annual callout we are seeking applications for 6 exhibition slots for the period April 2024 – Feb 2025.
