We have had more than 1800 responses to our consultation on the Creating Queensland’s future: A 10-year Roadmap for the arts, cultural and creative sector discussion paper.

With consultation closing next Tuesday 18 December 2018 we are asking communities across the state, industry, business and all levels of government to share insights and help us gather a wide range of views on how the sector can best deliver positive social and economic outcomes for Queensland.

Your feedback will inform strategic action planning and the future direction of Queensland Government investment.

According to the state; ” Queensland’s arts, cultural and creative sector is a vital force in Queensland’s social and economic life, delivering vibrant and accessible experiences, and creating a national and international profile for our local talent and product.

Queensland is witnessing a period of rapid change fueled by changing demographics, evolving consumer tastes and expectations, social trends and digital transformation. It is important to ensure the sector can respond proactively to the opportunities and challenges it is likely to experience in the future.

The discussion paper Creating Queensland’s Future: 10-Year Roadmap for the arts, cultural and creative sector consultation invites the public and communities across the state, industry, business and all levels of government to share insights on how best to take advantage of these opportunities, meet our challenges and inform the future direction for the sector in Queensland.

We encourage you to have your say on how you think the sector can support Queensland priorities and what the opportunities are to expand current practice and initiatives by completing the online survey here.
