BIO

John HINDS

Active as an Artist since 1979, having trained in Interior Design at SAIT and RMIT.
HINDS joined Adelaide’s Roundspace artists collective in 1979, where his practice included
collage and printmaking.
In Melbourne from 1986 to 1992 he was active in administration at ROAR Studios, and exhibited widely.
Following a period in a home studio, and an extensive UK trip, he joined Northcote’s Beaconsfield Studios in 2008.
In 2014 came Firestation Print Studio, an active members access print facility, where his practice included
witty artist’s books and prints. He was active in new member induction and maintenance.
His work is held in private and public collections, including London’s V&A.
HINDS is now consolidating his accumulated works for the future.
