Inspired in part by the first edition of the fabulous THE FUTURE NOW! punk anarchist zine published in Brisbane in September 1988 in the midst of a thriving localised artist-run culture we are starting a new series of Brisbane/Queensland/Australia punk/post punk now zines for the ARI REMIX + EXTRA Zine Project 2022-2024.

DIY Participation is really simple, make a pithy zine into a freely available PDF format, with your story around 600 words, artist/co-creative acknowledgements, up to 20 evocative digital archival images [1200pixels] with captions and credits, thick/ accessibility descriptions strongly encouraged up to 50 words per image.

YES! There is an artist fee of $600 for six artists – for your artful DIGITAL ONLY cut and paste zine contribution courtesy of Arts Queensland and the Australia Council. First in best dressed, hopefully more funds available for extra memory work posts in 2024…

Thanks for your interest in ongoing ARI Remix + EXTRA Zine memory work [active archival work collaborations Queensland /Australia 1970 to NOW,
