We’re so excited to share the latest update on the Queersland project.

First of all, the design and layout is finished and the book is at the printer! Extra special thanks go to Susi Blackwell, our amazing designer, for a super human effort in making the book look sensational. We hope you all love it as much as we do.

Confirming the Brisbane launch is at Come to Daddy, 208 Montague Road, West End on Friday, 5th September with doors open from 6pm. There will be a 100 person capacity limit, and we have made the event a ticketed event with a small fee to help cover expenses – $15 per person, or you can get a book/ticket bundle for $45. We’ll update you with details in our next email on how to book your ticket.

We’re thrilled to say that we have a number of Queersland events in the pipeline to go along with the Brisbane launch. We’re working on Sydney and Melbourne events – stay tuned. We have confirmed the Brisbane Writers Festival (panel session) in October, Melt Festival (readings at Avid Reader) in November and Woodford Festival (panel and readings) over new year. We’re hoping that some of you will join us for readings and discussion about the project at these events.

And don’t forget there’s a Queersland playlist on Spotify where I’ve attempted to capture the music that’s been referenced in the stories (except for Billy Joel, soz KP).
