During the Guest Curator program ( Artist Co-ordinators Barbara Campbell and Ted Riggs circa 1981- 1984) and the under the Directorship of Peter Cripps circa 1984- 1987) the IMA collaborated with and actively cultivated artist-runs in Brisbane including One Flat, O’Flate/O’Flission, A Room, That Contemporary Art Space, John Mills National and ZIP.
