West Space operates in Yálla-birr-ang (Collingwood), upon and within the unceded sovereign lands, skies and waters of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We acknowledge and pay deep respect to Wurundjeri elders, past, present and future – the traditional and ongoing custodians of this land. We extend that respect to all First Nations people. Sovereignty was never ceded, this land always was, and always will be, Aboriginal Land.

Stacey Collee, Alice Tsiavos, and Andrea Illés WARM ARCHIVE
West Space Window
Saturday 22 April — Saturday 21 May 2023
WARM ARCHIVE originated in discussions between Naarm/Melbourne-based artists Stacey Collee, Alice Tsiavos, and Andrea Illés during the 2022 federal election in which trans bodies were used as a point of division. During this time there was a proliferation of language that sought to limit and/or erase transness and it seemed important to develop alternative methods for processing it.
In the second happening of WARM ARCHIVE, the artists inhabit the West Space Window over four weeks. Consuming and digesting words into themselves and disarranging them, the Stacey, Alice and Andrea search for poetry and choreography in reformation and recontextualisation.
