Raygun Projects

RAYGUN PROJECTS delivers an art program in Toowoomba, Australia, that benefits the community through a range of art projects. RAYGUN focuses on the instigation of new and innovative art exhibitions and collaborative outcomes as well as ideas that address the benefits of the local community, promoting growth and cultural awareness.

RAYGUN brings national and international professional practicing artists to a regional community to create new working outcomes, where ideas are explored within an experiential environment. In addition to this, networks between local community members and visiting artists develop which allow for future working relationships to establish and evolve in areas surrounding Painting Expanded and Social Art.

RAYGUN is a non-profit artist run organisation run by artists Alexandra Lawson and Tarn McLean and is located in the CBD of Toowoomba, Australia. RAYGUN PROJECTS focuses on Social Art and varied modes of painted realities associated with the expansion of contemporary Painting.

RAYGUNlab is an online extension of the project functioning as a medium in the form of a visual laboratory. The lab enables us to share ideas concerned with Social Art and Painting Expanded and is continually updated with writings, articles, blogs, images, artwork, music, and videos.

RAYGUN is owned and co-directed by artists Alexandra Lawson and Tarn McLean.
